So much for Hispanics being sexually conservative, eh?

Yes there are many Hispanic gay men in the USA. In the US, gay men come in all races and colors, no boundaries.

There is no way that 11% of the Hispanic males diagnosed with HIV in 2011 got it from sex with a woman.

It is almost impossible to get HIV in the US from a woman unless you fuck her in the ass without a condom.

Otherwise she needs to be your regular partner, and you need to screw her ~700 times over a ~5 year period, and even then, there’s an 80% chance that you didn’t get it!

About all these men in the US who claim they got HIV from “heterosexual contact” – ie, from a woman, I got some news for you:

They’re lying!

Almost all of them are lying.

The number of female-male HIV cases in US every year is still very small. In other words, it’s rare.

I am not sure if things have changed much, but back in the 1980′s, they had all these guys coming in to the New York State HIV centers claiming that they got HIV from women. There was one man who headed up HIV services for the whole state, and he was dubious about most of these fellows, so had social workers and mental health clinicians interview these men intensively over a period of months. He also had them check out these men’s personal lives through their friends and partners.

Out of ~800 men who claimed that they got it from a woman, after six months, he had winnowed that down to precisely zero. Yes, that is right, zero. Of those 800 men, it turned out that 100% of them had actually acquired HIV from a man via gay sex but they were embarrassed to admit it so they said they got it from a woman. Many of these men had girlfriends and wives, many lived with women, and many were fathers are fairly prominent in the neighborhoods. They really didn’t want their bisexual side getting out.

I am not sure if this disease has changed much in the last 25 years, but why would it? The HIV virus is the same virus as it was 25 years ago, or is it a different critter nowadays?
