Purely Inspired 100% Plant-Based Protein Breakfast Shake Recipe

By Debi Lantzer @debiL1611

Lately it seems everything in my life is scrambled around. Back in July, I started having foot pain that I did my very best to ignore. Then, in August and September, my workload was unbelievable at work and I was cranking so much overtime I could barely think for myself. Once I finally slowed down at work and thought I’d get back to running, but yet, my foot was still hurting. I was finally forced to go to the doctor for my non-surprise diagnosis of plantar fascitiis with a fallen arch. I got a cortisone shot there at the doctor that day, and was prescribed orthotic insoles, an anti-inflammatory, and sent packing with orders to change my everyday shoes to a brand called Vionics, which I have done. I have been forced to obtain medical deferrals for a couple of races – some have been granted and some are still pending – but I need to get back to training.

I don’t choose whining or complaining, so I won’t continue with the list of “doom and gloom” and instead, I’ll talk about one thing that remains consistent in my life every single day – BREAKFAST.  Breakfast for me consists of a protein shake every morning Monday through Friday (and sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays too).  While the ingredients of the shake change fairly regularly, the basic product, Purely Inspired 100% Plant-Based Protein, is always at the base of the shake.

Today I’ll share my last protein shake with you, because it was a fun, fruity, mix that I really liked.  I’m sure I’ll never make it exactly the same, but that’s what makes each day fun.
