While I personally prefer my Running Buddy to any other running belt out there so far, I always try to stay aware of the other products out there that are available for runners to carry their things with them while running, and I’m always willing to give them a try. Today I’m going to share with you the Premium Black Reflective Running Belt by Runtasty.
It’s a great product, I’ll be honest, it’s way nicer than some of those other fitness belts I’ve seen out there. I thought for sure it would flap around when I was wearing it, because they usually do when they are made like this one, but thanks to the adjustable fit, the Runtasty belt didn’t move at all on my approximately one hour runs.
The Runtasty fitness belt features dual pouches, one of which is 6.5” long and the other is 9.5” long. The pouches are waterproof which is an added plus for me since my last iPod died and early death due to sweat. It also has nice heavy, durable zippers along with reflective stripes on the pouches. The smaller zippered pouch is great for house keys, driver license, debit cards, a little cash, lip balm, an iPod and other smaller items. The larger pouch easily holds my iPhone 6, but for purposes of this blog I tested a Samsung Note 4 with the case on, and it actually fit so I’m sure this is definitely a fitness belt for large phones.
The Runtasty belt itself is made of heavy duty 1.5” wide elastic, with a durable buckle to open and close the belt, and a slider to adjust the size of the belt. If your waist is between 28” and 45”, this belt can be adjusted to fit you. I share these details with you because, if you look in my previous fitness belt reviews, I’ve received belts that were either not adjustable or just didn’t fit me.
As you can see in the above picture, inside the box are two white little rotative wire clips. I wasn’t sure what they were until I saw that they are included to keep my earphone cable in place while I run. I can attach the clips to my shirt, insert the earbud cord into the little slots on the clips and keeps my cord from bouncing all over the place. A very nice touch Runtasty!
This belt isn’t limited to running either. I could easily see wearing this to amusement parks as a waist pack belt or, as they used to call them, a “fanny pack”. Since the Runtasty belt carries my phone, cash, credit cards and lip balm without being bulky, I can wear it under my shirt and not have to carry a purse at the mall.
