Potato dinner rollsWould you love a change over regular dinner/lunch.I do very much :)I love to explore different cuisines and try out new recipes as much as I adore Indian cuisine.Soft and fluffy diner rolls were in my to do list for a long time.I was in search of perfect egg less recipe.I wanted a straightforward recipe with out complicated steps.I have a huge pile of very old reader's digest and I just love those books.When it comes to any international recipe it has become my reach out.Wonderful never fail recipes are there in food digest section and I found my recipe for perfect dinner rolls in an issue and the added bonus was it had potatoes in it :)Can anything with potato go wrong.well no for me at least.Rolls came out so delicious,buttery and fluffy.Only thing was I didn't  not have enough time to let it raise after shaping,had I left for 30 more minutes I would have got even more beautiful rolls,never mind but it was really tasty with this sauce.
Egg less potato dinner rolls recipe
Star ingredients:All purpose flour and potatoes
Time:30 minutes+resting time
Yield:10
Potato dinner rolls
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup boiled,peeled mashed potatoes
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
3 tablespoons butter+more for brushing
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup luke warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
Method:
1.Add sugar to 1/4 cup luke water water and mix well.Once dissolved sprinkle yeast over it and let it sit for 10 minutes.
2.Take,flour salt,butter and mashed potato in a bowl and mix well.Add pepper powder or mixed herbs and combine.Add the yeast water and mix well.Now slowly add the milk and knead to a dough.The dough will be really soft and sticky.
3.Let the dough rest for 60-90 minutes,it should double in volume.
Potato dinner rolls4.Punch back the dough and shape into 10 equal sized balls.Arrange ina baking tray and let it rest for 1 more hour.
Potato dinner rolls5.Preheat oven at 160C and bake the shapes rolls for 25-30 minutes.The top should turn golden.
Potato dinner rolls6.Remove from oven,brush some more butter on top and serve with sauce.

1.Addition of herbs/pepper powder is optional.
2.Do not add extra flour,the dough will be very sticky and soft because of potatoes and that increases the softness of bread.
3.You can sprinkle some white sesame seeds on top.
