Polish Picks - 25 January 2014 with Nails Inc & Zoya

By Makeupguineapig @MakeUpGuineaPig
I wore two different polishes this week…and they couldn't be much different! :) One is almost neon, the other is very neutral. So, what did I choose? Let's find out! :)
Polish Picks - 25 January 2014 with Nails Inc & Zoya
The first polish I wore this week is Royal Botanical Gardens from Nails Inc. It's kind of a borderline neon robin's egg blue with a hint of mint green. Kind of an interesting polish. It was even in two coats, but I was worried because the first coat was quite patchy. I like it, but it was a bit too bright for my liking right now. I didn't expect it to be so loud! Definitely great for the summer.

Next, my order from the Zoya Color Your World promotion arrived and I picked out a few pale pinks that I really wanted to try. I am not a pale pink kinda girl, so I was really curious if I would like them or not. The one I chose to wear is Zoya's Jaime. It's a nice pale baby pink with a very subtle iridescence and it had great coverage in two coats, but I used 3 to cover a few streaks. The more coats of polish you use, the less you can see the cool shade-shifting shimmer and it's definitely more apparent in the bottle. It's still noticeable in certain lighting with the 3 coats I used, but I wish the iridescence was more noticeable on the nails. I think I like this color. It's definitely beautiful and I think a lot of people would love it, but in some lights it looks kind of grayish-green on me. Right now, it looks pretty and I like it, but it's definitely a bit out of my comfort zone! :) It will be great for those rare occasions when I need to look a bit more lady-like. ;)

And there you have it! Two pretty shades that surprised me this week! :) I'd love to know what's been on your nails this week, and if you picked up anything from the Zoya promotion, I'd love to know what you picked and how you like it! Until next week, thanks for stopping by!!! :)
