Deputy Prime Minister of Poland in Dubai and Abu Dhabi meet with representatives of the authorities to talk about deepening economic cooperation. Polish entrepreneurs are discussing potential investments with the Emirates business.
Aleksander Libera from the Foreign Investment Department of PAIiIZ emphasizes that Polish companies are increasingly boldly entering foreign markets, including those from the Persian Gulf. - As far as the UAE is concerned, we can see the growing dynamics of our export growth. The following sectors are developing well: food, construction, modern technologies, as well as the IT sector - he said in Dubai.ADVERTISEMENT
He added that the UAE is distinguished from other Gulf countries by being a hub for doing business not only in this region, but also for India, Pakistan and China. - Very often this fact of being a logistics hub not only in the Persian Gulf region, but also in the direction of Asia is used by companies, not only Polish - he said.
Deep Ocean Technology is one of the companies that is conducting advanced talks on the construction of an underwater hotel in Dubai. As its representative Arkadiusz Majerski says, it is completely Polish technology. - Design and contract work are advanced. We also want the UAE to be our partner in the entire region - he said.
He added that nobody in the world has implemented such an investment yet. - For three years we have been carrying out design work with the great support of the National Center for Research and Development, Gdańsk University of Technology and other institutions - he said.
He emphasized that the construction of the hotel would take place at the Drydocks shipyard in the UAE in cooperation with Polish shipyards. - It will be a steel structure consisting of two disks - surface and underwater, connected with each other by a communication shaft with elevators and a staircase. The lower disk will contain 22 rooms with a beautiful view of the underwater world and a small restaurant. There will be ballast tanks in the upper disk, from which water will be pumped out to bring the lower disk out - he explained.
Krzysztof Grabowski from Bioelektra emphasizes that his company is interested in the Emirate market due to the rapid development of this country as well as legislative changes related to the development of waste management. - UAE is the first of the Arab countries to start managing waste in accordance with European standards. We want to offer them Polish technology - he said.
He added that the company was contacted by the UAE embassy in Poland, which introduced its large company from Dubai. - We are negotiating a contract and building the first factory in Dubai. To put it simply - our engineers have built "large washing machines" in which we wash the rubbish and thanks to it we can 95% segregate into individual factions, which is synonymous with 95 percent recycling - he said. He added that the resulting materials can be used in the Arab countries as both energy fuel and as biomass for fertilizing and fertilizing the soil.
The president of Mebelplast Marek Nowogrodzki in the UAE wants to sell furniture. In his opinion, the market is very promising, because new hotels and apartment buildings are being built all the time. - You have to push yourself here because companies from around the world operate here. We must compete strongly with China and India, which are also quite strong in the expensive furniture sector. We must be strong competitive, but also build close relationships on the spot, because these are one of the advantages of operating in this market. Only then is there a chance - he said.
