I'm trying to get caught up with a few posts here. Today's blast from the past is my November Vegan Cuts Beauty Box. Keeping with recent tradition, I don't want to ramble on and on, so let's just get into the box! :)
I'm going to start with one of my two favorite products. It is a Nail Lacquer from Rainbow Honey in the shade "Persephone." It's a beautiful pinkish-red that is chocked full of micro-glitter! Rainbow Honey describes the color as "fiery red radiates with gold, copper and multi chromatic shimmer." It looks really pretty, has a long skinny brush - my favorite, and I love the packaging! The outer box is really cool and seems protective - so many polish companies could use some help on how they ship! The bottle itself seems easy to tip over, but I love the logo and it's a cute little sample. Really love this! :)
The next item I'm really excited about is from Pacifica. It is the Coconut Kiss Creamy Lip Butter in "Lava." It's a gorgeous deep red in the pot, but I'm sure it sheers out when applied. Goes nicely with the polish actually! I love Pacifica's packaging too! It's all so pretty! This is in fact Vegan (everything should be since it's from Vegan Cuts!) since it uses Cranberry and Beetroot instead of Carmine for coloring. Super pretty, although I haven't actually tried it yet.
Next up, an aluminum-free All Natural Deodorant from North Coast Organics. The scent is called "Death by Lavender," which is a cute name, but I still am not a fan of lavender. Nope. Just checked again. Not a fan! It's a really cute travel sized deodorant stick though! It actually is supposed to absorb wetness (probably with the cornstarch, so not too powerful) as well as neutralize odor. Again with the cute packaging too! Lovely sample, but horrible scent…for me! :)
We have a mini Bar Soap chunk from Earth's Enrichments. Of course, it's scented with lavender again. It even has bits of lavender included in the soap to help with exfoliating. I have a huge bone to pick with this company though. As a soap maker myself, I know not to put homemade lye-based soap in plastic because it will sweat. No questions. How is this packed? In a plastic baggy. So, it showed up all slimy and sticky in the baggie. :( Not planning to use this much, if at all. You win some, you lose some!
And finally there is a cute little mini powder brush from Medusa's Makeup to use with their Body Shimmer in "Healthy." This is super sparkly! I don't think I would use this anywhere other than my body, and even that is questionable! Apparently this is a 3-in-1 product. It is considered to be a body shimmer, blush and theatrical foundation according to the little card. I only see it as a body shimmer, but then I'm not a glittery kinda person. The brush feels really nice though.
So there you have the November Beauty Box from Vegan Cuts. I'm not super impressed, but then there are a few products I'm really happy about too. I guess that balances out, although I'm not sure it justifies the $20 price tag. We'll see how this box continues. So far, I haven't been wowed, especially for the price. I still feel like supporting the company though, and I like that they're smaller brands and definitely that they're all cruelty-free and Vegan! I hope you enjoyed this look at November's Beauty Box! If you'd like to subscribe yourself, you can check out the Vegan Cuts website.
Until next month…well, a week or two…thanks for stopping by! :)
