Plan B – In The Name Of Man

Benjamin Drew, aka Plan B, made his long-awaited return with new single ‘In The Name Of Man’. Receiving its premiere as MistaJam’s Hottest Record on Radio 1, ‘In The Name Of Man’ is Plan B’s first track in five years and follow up to 2012’s Ill Manors soundtrack and single ‘Playing With Fire’ ft Labrinth.

Co-written by Foy Vance, (Rag’n’Bone Man, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental), the new single is taken from his as-yet-unannounced fourth album. The politically charged track, showcases Plan B’s impressive vocal range, soaring above shuffling beats, block piano accompaniment, soulful bv’s and atmospheric production throughout.  Speaking with MistaJam, Plan B commented:

“It doesn’t getting any realer than having kids and that’s what happened to me. Fans will notice, there isn’t any rapping on this record. It didn’t feel natural to be rapping about this particular experience. This is the best thing to ever happen to me. Made me want to sing rather than break it down, in the way that I do. This doesn’t mean it’s the end of me as a rapper.”

Having just headlined the Where It Begins stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hull, ‘In The Name Of Man’ is available now via Warner Music.
