Today I am welcoming awesome blogger and super friend Claire to the What you Sow blog. She not only writes the fabulous style blog She’s Called Claire, but is also one half of the delightful duo Super + Super.
Claire blogs about all things style, and at Super + Super, Brighton’s coolest creative hub, she can be found teaching people all sorts of crafts and serving them generous slices of cake that she makes herself. She’s a girl of many talents.
Claire shows us how to jazz up your party look with these fab pineapple nails. These make me very happy. Here’s how to do it!
What you need:
A yellow, green and clear nail varnish. A black and gold nail art pen. A cocktail stick. 1. First off start by doing one or two coats of yellow to achieve your desired base coat color. 2. Once dry it’s time to do your gold criss crosses. You can make them as fine or as thick as you like - just make sure they hatch over each other and cover the entire nail. Tip - if you don’t have a gold nail art pen you can use a gold nail varnish and a cocktail stick instead. 3. Next up, and after your gold layer is dry, use a cocktail stick to dip into your green nail varnish to draw your leaves. Start from the cuticle and brush the leaves out. 4. Then to add a touch more detail you can use a black nail art own to do tiny dots on each cross. 5. Finish up with a top coat of clear nail varnish and voila! Your totally tropical nails are ready to party! Piña colada anyone..?!
