Phil Wickham’s sixth studio album has just released! It’s title is Children of God, and the album is a reminder of God’s sovereignty and love for all. We are His Children.

Phil Wickham opens up the album with the famous words of the Doxology, which is a beautiful and gentle start to the album. Spirit of God closes the album with calm and gentle piano keys and simple words of worship. The acoustic guitar is softly playing in the background and there are a few other sounds that accompany Wickham’s voice on this song. The song’s strength is in its simplicity, letting the lyrics resonate.
There’s a pretty amazing “back story” here too. Shortly after Wickham’s success following the release of This Is Amazing Grace, he lost his voice. As it turned out, he had to go under the surgical knife with the potential of losing his career forever. After a year and a half, by God’s grace and His healing, Wickham was able to move forward with his praise and worship music and thus, this new album was created.
