Phexis, a truly talented DJ & Producer, has come back once again to offer one of the most sun-kissed songs this Summer. Despite Summer being in its latter stages, Phexis clearly realised there was enough time for one more dance ... and has duly delivered on top form. Bringing forth a remix of Lemar's track, Complicated Cupid, to the point that you wouldn't know it's Lemar, this is Phexis, with the renamed 'future garage refix', Cupid.
Tapping its way onto the scene, this masterfully quick version of the same song instantly makes you want to get up and move. The vocal is noticeably tampered with, but not to the point where you find it irritating, as though it was in Akon's first single, Lonely.
The beat is consistent and manages to allow you to keep up with it, whereas, in a lot of remixes, they chop and change the tempo to the point that you have no idea what's going on. It's soulful, happy, fun and a flawless sound from Phexis once again.
Even though the weather has been as fickle as ever this Summer, this true to form Summer hit brings out the sun on the harshest and coldest days to permit you a little bit of warmth and happiness.
And that's it ... It's a real, feel-good track that makes you smile no matter what - isn't that what music is all about?!
