Peanut+Banana+Espresso Smoothie

By Wishuponadish @pixiesue
Peanut+Banana+Espresso SmoothieI started us on a smoothie kick a few weeks ago and we have been pretty good at drinking at least 2 a week. I let The Nudge pick the ones he wants and I make mine at home. This way they stay fresh and appetizing.
I am sorry, I am not getting up to make him a smoothie every morning, there are very good ones out there and he doesn't have a health issue like I do.
Since it's very hard to find a smoothie with no sugar added, I prefer to make mine.
Although I liked the look of this smoothie, after tasting I realized I should have used more banana and less peanut butter. It is VERY pea-nutty, and if you love and adore peanut butter you will like this.
Try to find a all-natural no sugar added PB and adjust the sweetness with more banana, some honey or Truvia.
I finally got to visit a Target store yesterday and bought the much talked about Better N Peanut Butter spread and I think I would make this again using that spread.
Peanut+Banana+Espresso Smoothie
serves 2
Adapted from Martha Stewart's Smoothies from Whole Living App
* 2 bananas
* 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
* 1 cup skim milk
* 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
* 1 tablespoon honey
1. Blend until smooth and store in refrigerator. It is recommended that you blend a serving with 1/2 cup of ice to make a milkshake-like thick smoothie. I just froze mine and blended that before drinking.
