Just rereading what I wrote about my week is enough to make me hibernate, but this weekend has made up for it all (Yes, this means good food is about to get involved in this post.)! Saturday morning, after a quick shopping trip with my mom, I decided to use the blender that I shamlessly begged my mom to buy me over a year ago. Apparently I
I finally found that special recipe that I've been waiting for. I created a Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie using Almond Milk. Was it good? Let's just say that after 2 sips, my hectic week was forgotten. I was Katherine again. I was ready to get into my Snuggie (Yes, I have a Snuggie. Yes, it's a life-changing purchase.) and finish last weekend's Harry Potter Marathon that was so rudely interrupted by school.
It's cold, creamy, healthy, bananay (is that a word?), peanut buttery, milky, vanilla(y?), and everything else. Even though I've never been one of those people that can just skip breakfast, if you are, you may want to try this. Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Ingredients:
- 1 Banana
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
- 2 Ice Cubes
- 3/4 Cup Almond Milk (Or any type of milk!)
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- Slice the banana and freeze 1-2 hours before you make your smoothie.
- Measure out all ingredients and add to a blender.
- Blend for 30 seconds or until all ice is crushed and ingredients are combined.
I've already had two of these. You'll want to start going to bed earlier at night just so morning can come faster and you can have another one of these. I've never been one of those people who found joy in sipping my breakfast through a straw over a bowl of oatmeal, but I think I've converted. Chewing is so last week. These breakfast smoothies are where it's at! :)
