Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie!

By Katherine @pbrunnerblog
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! Last Monday was the first day back from Spring Break. Any Monday is usually awful enough as it is, but after being away from school for a week, this one was exceptional. I had 3 tests, 2 parties, and a 3 part math final announced before 3 PM. I got home Monday, tried not to cry, and tried to figure out how I would make it through the week. Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! After the slowest week of my life, Thursday, the day of my first party arrived. My first party was a charity event on Thursday night. It lasted the whole afternoon, but it was a great break from all the studying. I must admit that it was a high point in my week. The same girl who thought she wouldn't survie somehow ended up in a wrestling outfit that was later live-auctioned for over $1900. I swear no alcohol was involved. Really. I just naturally make weird faces and wear wrestling jackets. It's a bad habit. Anyways, I was in bed after 1 AM, and my alarm was ringing at 6 AM on Friday. Needless to say, when the bell rang Friday at 3, I was never happier to see a week go by. Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie!
Just rereading what I wrote about my week is enough to make me hibernate, but this weekend has made up for it all (Yes, this means good food is about to get involved in  this post.)! Saturday morning, after a quick shopping trip with my mom, I decided to use the blender that I shamlessly begged my mom to buy me over a year ago. Apparently I never used it was saving it up for a special recipe.
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! I finally found that special recipe that I've been waiting for. I created a Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie using Almond Milk. Was it good? Let's just say that after 2 sips, my hectic week was forgotten. I was Katherine again. I was ready to get into my Snuggie (Yes, I have a Snuggie. Yes, it's a life-changing purchase.) and finish last weekend's Harry Potter Marathon that was so rudely interrupted by school.
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! It's cold, creamy, healthy, bananay (is that a word?), peanut buttery, milky, vanilla(y?), and everything else. Even though I've never been one of those people that can just skip breakfast, if you are, you may want to try this. Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie!  Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie  Ingredients:
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 2 Ice Cubes
  • 3/4 Cup Almond Milk (Or any type of milk!)
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
 Directions:
  • Slice the banana and freeze 1-2 hours before you make your smoothie.
  • Measure out all ingredients and add to a blender.
  • Blend for 30 seconds or until all ice is crushed and ingredients are combined.

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! I've already had two of these. You'll want to start going to bed earlier at night just so morning can come faster and you can have another one of these. I've never been one of those people who found joy in sipping my breakfast through a straw over a bowl of oatmeal, but I think I've converted. Chewing is so last week. These breakfast smoothies are where it's at! :)
