My sister and I set off early this morningThe studios name is Zombie DollsAnd is about half an hour from my houseFrom the startI had butterflies in my tummyI like to think that I have a high pain thresholdHaving been through many many dental surgeriesPancreatitis And sticking many needles in to myself over the course of my addictionI like to think I'm a tough cookie in that respect
We arrived in townAnd parked It took us a while to actually find the placeBut we did Eventually The place itself was so coolAll blackWith black and white paintings on the wallsThere was a young girl on reception She told us to take a seatAnd Terry would be out to see us shortlyTerry being the piercerA couple of minutes laterShe came to greet usA really pretty girlAbout forty I would guessWith strawberry blonde hair And covered in tattoos I liked her immediatelyAnd the placeSometimes These places can be intimidatingBut this place had a lovely atmosphereAnd a nice vibe
I told Terry that I wanted to get my labret doneWhich is just below the bottom lipShe took a look at my labret and gunsAnd said that it wouldn't really work as my lip was so low it wouldn't be seenAnd it would also effect my gumsI was really disappointed that I couldn't get it doneBut Terry suggested that I get the bit of skin between my nose and my upper lip doneI wasn't too keen on this Then my sister suggested that I get my nose doneI liked that idea And decided to go for itI wasn't leaving that place until I had something pierced!
I sat up on the tableAnd Terry prepared her toolsI decided to go for a small ringInstead of a studShe assured me that it wasn't too painfulAnd that it would all be over in a split second Then she did it She pierced my noseAnd holy hell peopleIt didn't half hurt!My gut reaction was to pull her hands away from me But thankfully the pain didn't lastAnd it was all over before I knew it
Terry secured the ring in my nose And I went to the mirror to have a lookI love it!It's subtle Just what I was looking forTerry suggested that I don't get any more piercings on my faceAs my face is 'too soft'And suggested that I go to town on my earsOne thing is for sure I will definitely be back for moreI've been bitten by the bug
Terry herself was amazingShe talked non stop for the whole time we were thereAt one point she noticed my psoriasisAnd have me the number of a homeopath who works wondersShe told us how she used to suffer with depressionAnd how she tried everythingIncluding medicationBut nothing helped until she went to this manIt was funnyIt was like she knew that we were struggling with some of the same issues she was It was like she sensed it somehowYou know how they say people can recognize their own traits in othersWell that was what it was like
I was so relieved when the whole thing was overAnd do delighted that I had gone through with itMy sister was snapping away on my phone the whole way throughA picture paints a thousand words....
