but that hasn't affected us in any way at all. As i am disabled myself i sometimes do find it kinda hard to get in and out of the passenger seat now and again but not always as i suffer with back and leg pain but this car also does have some seat adjustments that you lower and higher the seat to your requirements, The sound system in the car is very good and plays CD's without any problems and i was a bit gutted when the car didn't have any sat nav in there as this would be kinda good for my mom to have as she does get lost half of the timeThe boot is very good and it can hold plenty and i love the layout of the back of the car and how you have to open the boot with the VK logo witch is a really good idea and i absolutely love,I have also decided that i was gonna own the car outright once i have passed my driving test but as i am unable to drive a manual this is not gonna happen as yet, As we have had the car for over a 3 years now we have found the ride to be very good and keeping the car clean and tidy and making sure that everything works is kinda hard sometimes when you don't have enough money to keep it on the road etc!
There has been some issues with the heating and the air con last Christmas where it was working fine for a few months and then it decided to stop working altogether, As the heating system is built into the radio with the dashboard it was very hard to find out what the fault was and get it tested by a Volkswagen garage. In the end the garage managed to find the fault and fixed the heating system and told us that someone had messed with the wires in the back of the heating system and it cost over £1000 to fix and with the labor charges is well. Once that was sorted it was Christmas 2016 and as Christmas was just around the corner my step dad agreed to help my mom to get the car back into good working order. The areal as also been ripped off by someone and we still yet to get that fixed as sometimes the reception on the radio hasn't been that good and i was thinking about getting a Sat Nav for the car and take out the old radio as it would be ideal for my mom as she does quite easily get lost, As these are quite rare to get hold off i am always looking on eBay for one and i will also pay for someone to put in it for her as well. When i asked her about her other cars that she has had over the years what do you think about this Golf? and she said that it is a lot powerful then her previous cars and has more options inside and out of the car, And also the ride is a lot smoother as well and at least you don't hear it going over bumps and speed bumps, The maxim speed that she has gotten out of the car has been over 80mph on a public road and over 89mph on the motorway, This car can achieve more speed but as we have speed limits in this country she has to be very careful not to break the speed limit on these roads, My step dads car does shift very quickly too but not as powerful as my mums because it is only a 1.6 and not a 2.0. If my mom had a 2.0 TDI she would be able to go over 100mph on the autobahn in Germany with no problem but it is still amazing car that i have ever have been in and the power it gives for a small car like this is still amazing.
At one time in 2015 my mom decided that she was gonna git rid of the car because she couldn't keep the car on the road due to the tax and insurance on it and i said to her that you are kidding me? i explained that you have to keep it because if you get rid of it you will never ever bee able to get another because my step dad bought this car specially for my mom in 2015 for a really good deal,. As my step dad bought the car for my mum's use he said that he was gonna sell it to my uncle ? and i said are you kidding me? and i said over my dead body because he cannot look after anything especially cars and he would also end up smashing it up and getting other people to dive it who clearly cannot drive at all and also using fabric spray to clean it, So in the end my mom decided to keep and it and got the tax and insurance sorted, witch was good news I also explained that you will be making a huge mistake if you sell the car now and you won't get another like it for a while and also the price that my step dad paid for it.I wouldn't fault Volkswagen cars they are one of the best cars ever made and very room and comfy inside with loads of extras, As i am gonna be getting a Volkswagen myself once i have passed my driving test and with me i want something that is more speedy and powerful and thats why i have asked for a MK5 Golf GTI DSG 3 door 30th edition and i couldn't quite believe how much it would be to insure it with my age, And i haven't even passed my driving test yet and it is only £143 a month witch is fantastic price for a new driver, The reason why i want a Golf GTI MK5 30th edition is because it just has a lot more features inside and out of the car and plus you get extras like.. Leather heated seats, Full Sat Nav with steering wheel controls and more, It shifts very quickly with a DSG transmission. My idol Natalie from Cascada has the Volkswagen Golf MK5 3 Door DSG 30th edition in black with 169kw and 300ps and also has parking pilot, Air con all with xenon headlights,My dream one day is to drive one of these GTI's to see what they are really like to handle but i have to wait until i have passed my test to go and test drive one but until then i have to look at videos and photos until then. I have also deiced that i would like a white candy one with 3 door version like Natalie's with all the functions in, and i haven't seen that many for sale And Plus Natalie has had her car customised a few times.
