I was recently sent some information about an upcoming event called Operation Commando. This weekend, run by current and former Royal Marine Commandos takes place on Wales' Pembrokeshire Coast on the 5th to the 7th October this year.
The first day, the Saturday, will involve a range of Commando-based training exercises, including aquatic, aerial and land assaults. On the Sunday the participants will have the chance to repel an enemy attack. If you fancy a taste of life in the Marines then this is certainly for you, it looks like it'll be a lot of fun!
“Hostile forces have landed on a remote coastline. They are steadily making their way inland. You are part of an elite four man team briefed to repel the impending attack.”
The event, costing £149 per person or £596 for a team of four, includes 5* accommodation and access to the whole resort in the Bluestone National Park in the evenings. Only twenty four teams can join in so act fast, check out the site and sign up.
