One Secret to Building Self-Confidence in Your Body

By Pamela Brown

Do you respect yourself enough to say that you are beautiful and sexy, no matter what your dress size is?

Are you at home in your body?  In other words, do you have strong self-confidence in your body?  So many times I’ve heard various women say, “I’m disgusted with my body.”

Think about this- what do you do with things that are disgusting?  What do you do with disgusting things?

It’s time to break the self-hate, self-blame cycle that seems to consume us when it comes to our bodies.

I want to help women all over appreciate their bodies for what they are, and help them understand who they are as a woman.  Here’s one secret I use with my body image clients to help them build self-confidence in their bodies.

How to Gain Confidence in Your Body

Until your thoughts shift to a more healthy and beautiful image of yourself, you will never be able to have the fitness success that you desire.  Outer success can never surpass what is visualized.

Practice each day doing the following:

  1. Get in a quiet place.
  2. Look at your body in the mirror.  Notice your bone structure (hips, shoulders, etc…)
  3. Close your eyes, and picture a more fit, healthy, and energetic version of your self.
  • How would you feel?
  • What would the “new you” look like?
  • What will you wear?
  • What would you do differently that you can’t or don’t want to do now?

Write these answers on a sheet of paper or in your journal (if you keep one) and repeat this process two times per day.

No matter how hard this can become, your weight loss success is dependent upon how you think and feel about yourself.
In the next few months, I will be coming out with an email or video course that will teach you how to become more body confident so that you can feel more fabulous in your skin.  Want to stay updated?  Click here to join my mailing list!

Take care, be happy!
