When I was younger I remember my Mum and Dad used to always have a look through the local paper at the classified ads of things for sale, jobs and houses.
With the internet being used for everything these days, I have never found the use for classified ads in the paper. I wasn't aware that you could view UK Classifieds online.
It is a great way to sell your old items whether it be household items, clothes even cars. You can post your ad for free from the comfort of your sofa, uploading photos and all of your information very quickly and easily.
Classifieds are also great for searching for local jobs at the click of a button, which are easily broken down so that you can find just what you are looking for. I find it much easier to search than on the Job Centre website which seems to be quite confusing with lots of questions to answer before you see a list of jobs.
Buying second hand cars is not an easy business and it can become baffling searching through all of the dealers websites finding what you want (as we found out last year!). With the classifieds online you can search what you are looking for and, at the click of a button, find all of the cars listed in your location in an easy to view list. The sellers' contact information is displayed in the advert so you can quickly get in touch with them to find out more information.
As well as jobs and cars, another big area on the classified website is the houses. Again, with a quick search you can find a list of available properties. As well as houses for sale and rent, there are also house shares and a list of people looking for specific properties too.
If you are looking for a local service whether it be an electrician or a hairdresser, you can also find lots of local services on the classified website with their contact details being easily accessible.
A favourite section of mine is the 'Community' section. This lists all local events taking place from classes to gigs and also provides information for local babysitters (I think I may have to look into this more!).
I really like the fact that you have all of this local information in one place rather than having to visit numerous different websites to find it or trawl through an online search finding what you are looking for. I can certainly see me using this website a lot more now I have found it!
