"That Brad Pitt advert", just for laughs.
(Why did you do it, Brad?)
And Part II. Because, it's twice as pointless!
'There's something boring about people who have to go to an office for a living, I wanted to do this job since I was a child. I love fashion. I'm lucky to work in the most perfect of conditions. I can do what I want in all kinds of areas. The expenses are not expenses. I would be stupid to stop that. Work is making a living out of being bored.'
So, I've touched on the fact that the head fashion designer and creative director for Chanel might be a bit eccentric. His ad campaigns are usually a vision of his own unique fantasies, as are his "movies". While his editorial shots aren't the worst in the world, one does feel that VOGUE and the fashion media elite, just pander to his will. But Karl does get it right, occasionally. Very right.
Each season, Lagerfeld creates the most elaborately themed catwalk shows and Chanel's Spring/Summer 2013 collection was no exception. Showcased in Paris' Grand Palais, where a solar powered runway, with towering wind turbines stretching it's entire length, created a stark modern backdrop to the fresh youthful collection. Colour, monochrome, patterns, and tweed; tailored and oversized - every trend and taste accounted for. I just adore the oversized Peter Pan collars and pearl polka dots, Karl, you did good!
Don't tell me you weren't expecting something over the top. It's Karl, baby.
As if I couldn't be any more in love with this show, Chromatics provided the live score. *drool*Play us out, boys!
