Oil Sketch

   Last week in the Portrait Class. Only one session with the model at Heatherley's... I am not at ease with oil painting yet and clearly not used to work so quickly. I decided to go for more of a color study than a research for accuracy.
I found the result pretty curious, instinctive, and learnt on that day I could 'let it go' a bit more... Not being too much preoccupied with the result..

Another note was new for me on that day : Our tutor has a sudden affection for Black - that was totally new to me, as I usually prefer more complex backgrounds.. But, Hey! class is also there to push you out of your habits!
