Oh Wonder – High On Humans

Oh Wonder, made up of London duo Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West, unveiled their new single ‘High On Humans‘. The track is taken from their forthcoming sophomore album ‘Ultralife‘ and follows previously released singles ‘Lifetimes’, ‘Heavy’ and ‘My Friends’.

Their latest offering delivers an infectious melody with rousing synth-pop textures and captivating vocals sung in perfect unison throughout.  In a recent press release, Josephine commented on the inspiration for the song after a unique tube journey home one evening.

This song celebrates the potential to ‘get high’ and feel liberated by talking to strangers. It’s something we all fear, and something we should all do more of!

Ultralife is set for release July 14th via Island Records. Currently gearing up for a world tour supporting Walking Cars, upcoming dates for the duo include, Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin (June 24), Reading & Leeds Festival (Aug 25-27), Manchester Academy (Oct 31) and the O2 Academy, Brixton (Nov 8)

The duo recently shared a stripped back piano version of lead single ‘Ultralife’ recorded at the iconic Abbey Road. Check it out below.
