With less than 20 days away from the highly anticipated Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, the official synopsis for the episode "The Day of the Doctor" has finally been revealed. The Spoiler-ish summary keeps all the important details to a minimum while revealing us that the episode will take place in 1562 Elizabethan England involving London's National Gallery. "The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th Anniversary Special: in 2013, something terrible is awakening in London's National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor's own dangerous past comes back to haunt him."
Looks like we're in for a treat. Starring Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt the 75-minute episode premieres November 23rd on BBC & BBC America.
