Having gone to our neighboring ASEAN cities, I feel like Manila is lagging behind in terms of hotels. However, with our economy showing signs of hope, internationally-recognized hotels are set to welcome guests the coming months and years. Starting this wave of hotel openings, right in time for the APEC Philippines 2015 meetings in Manila, is Novotel Manila Araneta Center. Novotel Manila Araneta Center is a 24-storey hotel situated right in Araneta Center, which is touted as the premiere lifestyle hub in Quezon City. The first-ever Novotel and the second property of AccorHotels in Manila and the Philippines, the hotel features 401 contemporary rooms and suites—the most in Quezon City—and an executive sky-lounge with a 360-degree view.

The hotel hosts two new dining concepts: Food Exchange Manila, a “208-seat contemporary restaurant serving an array of international cuisine with dishes prepared at live cooking stations,” and Gourmet Bar by Novotel, which is “perfect for those looking to enjoy refreshing signature drinks or simply relax with a novel over a cup of freshly brewed coffee.” A unique proposition of Gourmet Bar by Novotel is its focus on using locally-grown produce from a dedicated organic farm in San Mateo, Rizal.

Aside from these, the hotel houses its signature In Balance Wellness Center which includes a gym, spa and swimming pool, while the young ones may check out its Gymboree Kids Area.

Those who wish to hold their meetings, conferences, parties, or corporate retreats may take advantage of the hotel’s state-of-the-art pillar-less grand ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,200 guests, as well as its six meeting rooms and boardroom. In addition, the hotel boasts of a 2,500-square meter landscaped outdoor garden area ideal for weddings, cocktails, and shows.

To celebrate the opening of Novotel Manila Araneta Center, the hotel is offering an introductory rate of only 108 USD (~4800 PHP) a night for a superior room with breakfast for two at Food Exchange Manila. The offer is valid until December 2015.
