Since hurricane Irene decided to leave me with no power, I've been going through withdrawals without my Internet and Blog! Thank god I have the WordPress app on my phone to publish posts. This is my first time ever writing a post with my phone so if it looks strange, I'm sorry. I really hope everyone that was affected by the hurricane is safe :) Now on to the post! Those of you who have been following my blog probably know that, 1. I love nail polish and 2. I love trying different looks no matter how crazy they might look. Don't get me wrong, I'll always love the classic French manicure, but I felt like putting a twist on it this time. That's how I came up with what I call " Black French with a Zing". For this look I used L'oreal's Satin Sheets for the main color, Wet n Wild in Black for the tips and L.A.'s Art Deco in a silver/glitter for the line underneath the black tip. Instead of doing the normal straight across tip, I painted the tips on a slight angle. Then I used the silver polish to paint a thin line right below the tips to give it that zing You can probably tell that this was a pretty easy look to create. I think the black and silver gives off an elegant look. Plus adding the silver lines covers any uneven lines there might be from the black polish.
Of course I used my Nutra Nail Ridge filler base coat then Sally Hansen's INSTA-DRI top coat along with their INSTA DRI Speed Dry Drops
What do you think of using different colors besides white for a french manicure?
