I am attempting NoBloPoMo because my friend, Mike, shared me this link, and said it may be something for me. Seeing as I can’t grow a mustache, or any kind of facial hair, I’ll participate in this. 
So, now comes the challenge of what shall I write about? I’ve never considered myself a writer, or very good at writing. I came from a home schooled family, and even though I’m confident in my grammar, I never really liked writing because I feared critique.
Things have been really rough this year, for me personally, and culturally. We ended 2012 with the unthinkable shooting of Sandy Hook Elementary. Politically in our country and world wide have been sizzling to a boil, and about to blow. ObamaCare started to take effect this October, and in 2014, it will completely be law. Proposition 8 was struck down as unconstitutional. There is no doubt that we are living in unknown times. Winds are blowing each way, and no one truly knows what is going to happen.
I think I’m going to use this NoBlo for me as a kind of Journal for me. Something to clear my mind, express my thoughts and opinions. I look forward to you staying along for the ride. Constructive criticism is always welcome, plus it lets me know that people are reading what I write. I haven’t made a post since July this year, but that is when my Mother had an aneurism, and things got really crazy for me. I’ll probably elaborate more about that in a later post this month.
