Actually I am a lousy Commie.
For one thing, I do not agree that everyone should make the same wage. I feel that in a socialist society, physicians, pharmacists, dentists, chiropractors, and attorneys should make up to 8 times more than a ditch digger. Otherwise how will you attract people to put in all the study for those fields if you pay them the same? I also think people should be rewarded based on skill set. The more time you have to study and the more skills you have to acquire to get a job, the more you should be paid. I do not believe in a classless society.

But I believe a ditch digger needs to be paid quite well. Even though it may not take much of an IQ it would totally tear up the body and be grueling….who would want to do it if they could drive a fork truck or mop floors for the same pay. Same principle- you might have to pay more to entice people into doing it.
I agree with this. However the Commie idea that a ditch-digger makes the same salary as a university professor, an economist, an attorney, a pharmacist, a dentist, a chiropractor or a physician is frankly insane.
I would not be bothered with a socialist society in which there were 8 tiers of wage scale. Those at the top tier as above would make 8 times the minimum wage. So in the US, people like that would make something like $130,000/yr while minimum wage is $16,000/yr. Sound fair.
So that would lead to a class society? So what? Class society is not evil. The exploitation of one man by another is what is evil. No exploitation of anyone is necessary when the self-employed or professionals earn a high salary.
