Almost one year ago, some of my friends were visiting me in London. We decided to take the trip on the Thames, from Westminster to Greenwich. Blessed with a gorgeous weather, and I discovered all these docks and bank cityscapes: the wharves.
The day was blue. New Crane Wharf was striking me with its large, long, orange bank side. Blue and Orange. I try to work on this association, and as well to render a bit of this place quiet drama...
Here are the first stages of this pastel:
Found it nice to start orange and blues from their complements: Still to be finished, I move progressively towards more colors and lights. (really liked stage three, though... violet, blue & reds...).
