This week we welcome six new young Bantam hens to the garden. They are living in the larger of the new chook runs with Millie (the last surviving Farmyard Feral) who has sort of accepted the new arrivals (at least she hasn't attacked any of them!). There is much squabbling amongst the youngsters as they try to establish their place in the pecking order of this new family. They are a mixed up bunch...some showing signs of silky...and frizzle...and even one with a fluffy head!Seeds Sown:

There are now three Tank Beds near the gateways to the new chook runs...for growing greens for the girls. The next lot of propagation will be Seeds of Green crops which can be sown on the 30th of April and from the 3rd to the 5th of May.
