Never Compare Tron Uprising With Tron Legacy

Posted on the 15 August 2012 by Nrjperera @nrjperera
After seeing the Tron Legacy back in 2010, I was hoping to see a sequel. But now I don't even care if they'd make another movie or not because the Tron Uprising already topped my all time animated TV Series list. I really enjoy this show. Although, most people still rules out this animated series as a copy cat of the movie, even when it has a different angle from the original movie.

First thing you need to know is how Tron Uprising differs from Tron legacy and the first Tron movie. Yes, the animated series has been made inspired by the original movie but this series goes along as a prequel to both of those movies. And Yes, it also packs more action, mostly because well, it's an animated series, so thanks to computer animation technology everything is possible in the Tron world.
Elijah Wood, Bruce Boxleitner, Mandy Moore and rest of the cast also gives life to the main characters in the show, better than anyone could have ever done. Joseph Trapanese also plays a big part in this show by decorating all the episode's with Daft Punk styled soundtracks. The joint between these soundtracks, effects just simply makes this series more addicting than any other animated series I've ever seen.Which explains how this show got 8.0 rating on IMDB

New gadgets, rules, wrath of General Tesler and other new features in Tron Uprising certainly gives a different perspective to this show. And it also portrays the everyday lives of Programs, which we didn't get to see much from the movies. So, do you still think this is similar to Tron Legacy or Tron? Say yes if you're blind :P

7 episodes down, but I'm still craving for more. I'm still wondering why Disney has postponed the next episodes till October :O. According to the reports Disney XD already has plans to conclude the first season with 18 episodes. So, there is more to come and I will have plenty to feed my geeky hunger for Tron.
