Neeto Nachos!

Neeto Nachos

After I finished with Nana’s Chocolate Pie I still had one pie crust left over. I hate to see food go to waste because I see hungry people every work day, so I am very appreciative of what we have.

I knew I wasn’t going to make another pie, but I couldn’t figure out what to do with it. I started out making little bitty pies and that was such a disaster, I threw it all out. Finally, standing with a pizza cutter in my hand, I decided to make what I call…

 Neeto Nachos!

Here is what you will need:

1 pie crust
1/2 Cup sugar
2 Teaspoons cinnamon
Hot Fudge Sundae Sauce
Caramel Sundae Sauce
1/2 cup nuts – if you want them

Directions:
1. Set the oven at 325 degrees F.
2. Place foil on cookie sheet and spray with non-stick spray

3. In a tight-closing plastic sandwich bag, mix sugar and cinnamon.
4. Unroll the pie crust on a cutting board or heavy plastic wrap.

Cutting Pie Dough

5. Using the pizza cutter, cut pie crust into 3 inch strips. Then cut the strips into triangle shapes so they look like nacho chips.
6. Put a few “chips” into the plastic bag. Using your fingers, coat the pie crust pieces with the cinnamon-sugar.

7. Place triangles on to cookie sheet. If you need to, sprinkle more cinnamon-sugar onto the pie crust pieces.
8. Bake at 325 degrees F between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on your oven. They should be a bit crispy.
9. Using a spatula, quickly remove the nachos from the cookie sheet and place on a plate.
10. Drizzle hot fudge and caramel sauce over the top of the nachos.

11. Add fruit, marshmallows, chocolate chips, or the optional nuts mentioned above.
12. Serve. Easy as can be because I can do it!
While it doesn’t look perfect, it tastes great and below you will find the nachos with apples and bananas.
