Hi girlies,
I actually haven't done a post like this in quite a while, however, when I seen a range of both amazing and let's just say some not so amazing gowns on the red carpet last night I knew this deserved a place on the blog!
If I'm honest, I don't like criticising people too much on their clothing, as I am all for personal style and my red carpet winners may be in someone else's sin bin, but that's the fun in having an opinion!
Let's start off on a positive note with those who stole the show for me;
Abbey Clancy -
Abbey Clancy, for me, rarely does wrong when on the red carpet and last night was no different. Her racer front dress, was simplistic yet striking and her slit was just the right amount of daring, however, this was an element which too many of her fellow TV stars seemed to forget! Usually I prefer when people don't wear red on a red carpet, for obvious reasons, however, let's face it, it's Abbey Clancy, she could wear the red carpet and she'd still feature in the best dressed list!! Michelle Keegan - Does this look familiar to anyone ? I was shocked at how alike Abbey Clancy's dress was to Michelle Keegan's with their figure hugging, racer front gowns! Michelle went for an on trend pastel mint with a fish tail bottom and as always, had the country falling at her feet! Will she ever have an off day ?! Fearne Cotton - If I'm honest, as much of a fashion icon as Fearne is, I rarely understand her style however when she stepped out in this white and silver lace detailed number,j'ai compris !! She looked absolutely beautiful and I love how she kept her hair from looking too 'over done', as she could have very easily turned into a middle aged bride! Fab from Fearne! Caroline Flack - Caroline donned shorts and a blazer for this year's NTA's which is a common look for her, yet one she works so well, I mean look at those pins! The touch of hologram in her heels against the crisp white made for a classy, fashionable look. Thumbs up from me! Tess Daly -This, my friends, is how to do the androgynous look. The usually girly and feminine Tess looked amazing in this jumpsuit paired with a blazer over the shoulder for an amazingly chic look. Pairing this with a red lip and loose curl, made her one of my personal favourites on the night. Georgia Foote - When this dress came up on my Twitter newsfeed last night, I presumed I had misread it and that it was from department king Selfridges, however when I rechecked to find it was indeed from Miss Selfridges, I was blown away! This gown looks like it could easily pass for a Jenny Packham however us mere mortals can get our hands on this dazzler in store from March! I can sense a queue forming!! And now onto those who failed to make the cut ! Amy Willerton - Usually, I love Amy Willerton's style and the fact she carries her pageant queen look where ever she goes, however this dress just didn't do it for me! I love the top of it, however I feel when the diamonds meet the tulle bottom it screams tacky. Sorry Amy! Kelly Brooke - Oh Kelly! I honestly don't know where to start here, the slit, the v neck, those shoes. This is the perfect example of leaving far too little to the imagination! Let's just say I hope she's had a bikini wax!! Pixie Lott - Here is another example of a sky high split gone wrong! I love the boho feel of the plunge neckline, paired with a long pendant and long sleeves, but I have no idea where the blue material is coming from! So close, but yet so far! Laura Whitmore - It is a rare occasion that Laura Whitmore features in anything negative on my blog, however I cannot understand this dress at all! There is just too much going on and I'm still trying to figure out where that checked material is coming from! And there you have it folks, my winners and losers from the NTA red carpet! Who was your favourites on the night?And who left you with your mouth open, for all the wrong reasons?! Until next time girlies.. LolaRose xx
