Three years have passed since Benson Wanjau popularly known as Mzee Ojwang died. Kenyans however haven’t forgotten his legacy.Mzee Ojwang’s role on the national broadcaster -KBC catapulted him into fame making him a household name since the early 1990s.He starred in Vioja Mahakamani and Vitimbi for many years. Mzee died in July 2015 but his legacy still lives on judging from the honor he recently received.
Sanaa Theater Awards
The late actor/comedian was feted in the recently concluded Sanaa Theater Awards which recognizes and rewards excellence in the field of theater including youth in and out of school.Mzee Ojwang was awarded Lifetime Achievement Award as tribute for him for his efforts and contribution in the theater and television entertainment.
