I've had the best weekend. My sister was here visiting. She lives in the north, our parents in the south and I live in the middle, so we only see each other a few times each year. With only two years between us we have always been best friends and I'm really sad that we live so far from each other. But when we do see each other it's always such a party : ). This time we (me, my sister and my kids) drove to our parents and spent a day and night there. Then we went back to our place where my husband got to have the kids so that we could go shopping and have a fun night out. It was so much joy! Don't you just love being able to dress up nicely, put lots of make-up on and forget about being a mom once in a while! I am a much better mother to my kids when I get to have a break from them sometimes. On Sunday we took the kids to the playground and just hung out together. My sister doesn't have any kids of her own so she is almost like an extra parent to them. She is also my oldest child's godmother.
