By Ishita Sesha @makeupert

Hello munchkins!Today I’ll be compiling my favorite budget makeup products(Indian Edition) that is a must-have in every beginners/college student’s kitty. These are very affordable and easily available throughout India. I’m currently using these for summers and loving each and every product. Let’s get started –

My Top 8 Summer Makeup Products (under Rs 500)

My Top 8 Summer Makeup Products (under Rs 500)

1. Lakme CC Cream - Bronze (Rs 275)
When it comes to base products, I rarely like experimenting. During summer, I rely on my BB/CC creams for the sheer, natural finish to keep my face fresh and breathable. Lakme CC Cream tops my list, since it is lightweight, creamy, gives natural finish and easily blend able.

Lakme CC Cream comes packed in a pale gold colored tubewith screw-on cap. The CC Cream is very light in texture and and delivers light to medium coverage making it apt for everyday use. You can layer it in areas that need more coverage. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and the overall effect is quite natural. Lakme CC Cream is available in 2 shades – Beige (for fair skin tone) and Bronze (for medium/Indian skin tone).
My other recommendations Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Cream (Rs 75), Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light (Rs 149), Maybelline Clear Glow Bright Benefit Cream (Rs 250), Faces CC Cream (Rs 399)
2. L’Oreal Mat Magique All-in-one Pressed Powder – G2 Golden Ivory (Rs 399)
To keep your base makeup at place, one definitely needs a pressed powder in the handbag. Pressed Powder is saviors’ during summers – these controls oil and instant touch ups at regular intervals gives fresh looking face.  For summers, I apply concealer to the pigmented areas and further top it with pressed powder.

L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique Transforming Compact Powder has a finely milled, smooth and silky texture. It gives a silky feeling to the skin, without drying or being cakey. The finish is almost matte and satiny. It blends into the skin quite well and works great as a setting powder for liquid foundations and concealer. It controls oil for good 5 hours before I feel the need for a touch up. The coverage is light to medium; hence you can skip foundation on daily basis. The powder softens the look of pores and does not settle on fine lines making the look uneven. The powder also has a SPF 34 and PA++ making it ideal for daily day time wears, especially in summers!
My other recommendations – Maybelline Super Fresh Compact(Rs 150), Revlon Touch & Glow Pressed Powder (Rs 490), Maybelline Fit Me! Pressed Powder (Rs 475)

3. Inglot Freedom System Rainbow Refill – 107R (Rs 450)
Inglot Freedom System Rainbow Refill 107R is a versatile and most useful eye shadow pan that has all the qualities a makeup lover would love to own - great pigmentation, smooth, buttery texture, blends like dream, good color-payoff, no fall outs, affordable, handy, 3 hues of brown in a single pan and a great palette for neutral lovers! I apply a wash of the medium brown on my lids and deep brown on the outer corners and crease to create a soft smoky look for both day and evening wear.

4. Maybelline The Colossal Super Black Kajal (Rs 300)
Maybelline The Colossal Super Black Kajal is an excellent long wearing kajal – its super smooth, very creamy, intensely pigmented and doesn’t smudge once it sets. I love the deep matte jet black shade – safe to be used in waterline as well. The staying power is amazing – stays for 10 hours and sets to smudge-proof and waterproof finish. I think every girl who likes long staying kajal should try this and I’d highly recommend this!

5. Maybelline Magnum Barbie Mascara (Rs 399)
A new launch by Maybelline India, this mascara has been my favorite since the first time I have used this. This is one of my favorite volumizing mascara and I’ll be reviewing it super soon! The formula is slightly on the wetter side but that works well for my lashes. The curved wand is not too big so it is easy to use on the inner and bottom lashes as well. The formula dries fairly fast and in 2-3 coats, you get wonderfully plumped lashes. Only available at habbana.com.

6. Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm – Pomegranate (Rs 165)
Nivea fruity shine lip balm is a super cute one and comes in various fruity flavors and both in clear and tinted variants as well. I love the shade – Pomegranate - It’s moisturizing, hydrating, stays well and gives gorgeous pink tint that covers pigmented lips pretty well. Out of all the lip balms available in the Indian market, this has been my favorite since ages.

7. L’Oreal Paris Ideal Clean Makeup Removing Towelettes (Rs 400)
I’m lazy and I admit it. Whether it is summer or winter I’m the same. It is always a pain in my a** when it comes to removing makeup after spending 12 hours in college (extra classes adds to this).

Here’s when L’Oreal Paris listened to my life woes and launched the amazing makeup removing towelettes. This effectively removes my base makeup, long stay lipsticks, kajal and mascara as well. I haven’t used this to remove my L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes mascara but this works well on the Maybelline Colossal mascara. This removes every inch of my makeup even before the Maggi is cooked :p
My other recommendation - Colorbar On the Go Makeup Removing Wipes (Rs 400 for 30 Wipes), Kara Wipes (Rs 145 for 25 Wipes)
8.  Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick – P165 (Rs 250)
Matte lipstick is in rage at the moment and almost every Indian and International brand (budget and high-end) has this. Matte lipsticks are good for summers, since, they don’t melt and stays for good 6/7 hours with minimal fading and swiping lip balm over it afterwards enhances the wear time by 1/2 hours.

For summers I love the Lakme Enrich Satin Lip color in P165, a coral pink that would flatter Indian complexion pretty well. Lakme Enrich Satin Lip colors have a silky, smooth, satiny texture that feels very light on the lip and glides like butter without accentuating dry bits of lips. Although being buttery, they don’t bleed or budge outside the lip line; indeed these are very moisturizing and hydrating on lips. Although these are creamy in formula but one can blot it down to look matte.
My other recommendation – Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick (Rs 299), Maybelline Color Show Matte Lipstick (Rs 325), Maybelline Lip Gradation Pencils (Rs 500), Lotus Herbals Color Stylo Lip color (Rs 475), Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipstick (Rs 400).
