My (HONEST) Take on the Emmys Fashion…

By Fashionlushxx @fashionlushxx

Okay…. so I guess I need to succumb and share with all of you what I thought of the 2012 Emmys fashion. Usually I don’t really do this, but I think it was interesting that a lot of the pieces I didn’t like… the critics did. Does that mean I have bad taste? Sure, I don’t really care.  I will justify my fails & wins in further detail… read on ladies (& maybe a few gents).

best fashion of the emmys

+ Jessica Pare killed it with this little number. I loved the silhouette with the black sash and clutch… her hair and makeup was flawless. Very twenties inspired…

+ Julie Bowen looked very young and edgy (somewhat different from her Modern Family character) in this neon yellow strapless gown & rocker chic, teased locks.

+ I love how Kelly Osbourne paired her dress to hair. Critics complained she should have covered up those tattoos, but I think it’s great how she rocks them.

+ Nicole Kidman must be an alien… I am convinced… she hasn’t aged a bit and always looks perfect. I think she is a Stepford wife after all. Anyways, I loved the mixed textures & her slick straight hair.

+  Fashion aficionados everywhere claimed that Leslie Mann’s dress was to casual. I disagree, I loved how she paired turquoise jewelry with the burnt orange color of the dress. The reason it is actually just enough fancy is because, if you look close, you will see the bust is intricately beaded.

+ Everyone rants and raves about Heidi Klum’s Dress, but I am personally not a fan. Sure she looks beautiful, she always does. But the dress was just off for me. I didn’t like the choice of shoes, her boobs weren’t very supported, and the double slips kind of made me think of a maxi loin cloth. Eh…

+ Julianne Moore seems confused with this dress. The long sleeves and the silhouette is very matronly, yet the color is extremely shocking. I also don’t think that this color looks great on red heads… should we even talk about the lipstick? Come onnnn Moore!

+ Kat Dennings is such a pretty girl, and the color of the dress is one of my current faves (wine red), yet girl needs to cover up! This is the Emmys, not a peep show. I don’t know how many people were just waiting for a nip slip.

+ Lucy Liu looks like she is living in the future. Enough said.

+ Okay, this may be the most controversial one of the whole post. Everyone, and I mean everyone, thinks was Sofia Vergara #1 best dressed. I beg to differ. She is gorgeous, so it is hard for anything to look bad one her, and this dress fits perfectly. Yet all the sequins are just too much, she looks like she is either on Dancing with the Stars or acting in a telenovela from the 90′s.
