Is that something you have heard before?
Well,it must be from me.
I move lock, stock and barrel every few years, yes I know you have heard that.
But what is awesome is that I add on a few cartons each move after diligently promising myself I wont.
But what does a woman do? She cant spend time within four walls without making them her color can she? She needs to see herself and her personality all around her. Her home wouldn't be home without her personality on it. That is why I love the article Put a personal stamp on your home on the Reward me -Home Decor website.
It tells my tale.
I am a do-er.
You know I bake,right?
That's why my home has vanilla flavours wafting and tickling your taste buds.
Also...
I like to make things come alive when they leave my hands.
Not for me ,all store bought things. Most of my stuff is hand made. What doesn't adorn the living room walls, I relegate to the study or bed rooms or even wash rooms.
I embroidered three canvases when sweet child was little, two were done in the heat of the moment, the third, which was the largest, took me seven years to complete.
And now, after it sat with my most precious saris for the last five odd years, have I had the courage to frame an old fashioned piece of tapestry.
But ,because it is my handiwork,I love it

All cross stitch

I make candles too. Blue ones, always. I know not why. And my candles are always about sea shells and flowers. Every now and then, even if I have to melt store bought candles and use crayons or fragrances and essences meant for chocolates in them, I do. And do I burn them readily? No, hubby dear does. His logic is, if he doesn't burn them, there will never ever be any new candles for me to make.
My green nook changes every new house. I have a tiny balcony with almost now sunshine...so no flowers.

With an easy chair and a cup of coffee, all my books find me enraptured here. The extension cord is for my dying battery to be charged. Mumbai doesn't need me to use fans here either. So when I am not baking or making, this is my haven.
How could I forget my biggest addiction.
My books.
These are a mere fraction of all the books I have. I have enough to line up a couple of walls.Just don't ask me how I have preserved these.

And if you walk around, you'll find much more. Like plates I decoupaged many years ago, that serve as wall plates in my balcony. My chest of drawers that I painted and stencilled upon, some block printed table covers and so much more.

But that's what makes a house your home. What you give to the bare walls and the doors and windows is what you will get back. Make your house look happy. make your house look like it was made for you. Place your whole hearted stamp on it. And it will reward you. With love, happiness and laughter.
And a promise of better days to come.
Display your energy and your warmth,be hospitable and entertain. And remember ,it all comes back full circle.

So come on over...
