Hi Girls, Finally Monsoon has arrived in its full bloom....its green everywhere. North Indians usually call it- Saavan. Month of celebrations and makeovers...Entire wardrobe takes 360 degree turn from soft soothing mild pastel shades to bright, popping colours and heavy accessories. You automatically get attracted to bright colours, deep stronger citrusy fragrances and the same happened to me too. Latest addition of Pinks, purplles in my wardrobe and i guess yet to grab more- probably a leheriya sari. I dont know but these days I am little more obsessed to bright pinks and purplles. In this obsession, i have bought so many lippies in shades of pinks-purplles. (if you have my read my last few posts, you know this)Last time when I went to The Body Shop outlet, obviously could not resist myself, why??
Reason #1- The Body Shop has recently launched their new range of Matte lip liquids and that too in INR 695....whooooohoooo, probably the most inexpensive one in their range.Reason #2- Who would say no to TBS Fragrances and when you catch hold of your favoruites Citrus one.Reason#3- Hair Care and Skin Care from TBS is a must buy. cant leave without buying atleast one. Last but not least----Its THE BODY SHOP, who would say -NO???What I bought- 1. The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist (INR 795)- the fragrance is awesome but is it worth buying..will review soon.2. The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo (INR 795)- I was dying to try this.3. The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid (INR 695)
Today I will be reviewing - The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid in the shade Goa Magnolia (026). As I told the only color I could think of these days is -pink, magenta, purple...So in line grabbed this beautiful dark purplish pink shade. The packaging in not very attractive or unique but is simple and sturdy to carry. Plastic bottle with a screw cap and wand. Simple Applicator to apply the color cleanly and smoothly. but If i talk about the finish, texture and longevity- its amazing. Its goes totally matte as soon as applied and that too no heaviness on lips post drying and bets part, its not drying inspite of being matte.The texture is smooth and so easy to apply that one hardly feels it on lips. The color is simply superb and would suit all types of Indian skin tones. its so alluring.It even stays for a minimum of 6-7 hours on lips without any need of touch ups. People like me who do not like doing touch ups...is great for me. But if you are in habit of lip licking-- it may last for max 4-5 hours. But not to worry as it wont settle on your lip lines rather it smoothens and softens them. Buffed and lightly moisturised lips gives a better finish. End of the day, just dab a little cleansing milk and its clean but leaves little tint on lips so need to wash off with a mild cleanser too. if you love trying lippies and looking for a long staying feathery light liquid for your work wear. this is for you and all the other shades are equally pretty but my favourites are - Goa Magnolia and Sicily iris which is again a pretty dark brownish red shade. Moreover quantity one gets at price is quite good- 8ml of liquid which is sufficient to last 3-4 months for a regular user.Overall The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid is great liquid lip product form the brand and of course the best of the shades to try- Goa Magnolia (026). Highly recommended!My Rating- 5/5.
