The Royal Queensland Show, affectionately known as The Ekka, has come and gone for another year, leaving memories, empty showbags and sugar highs in its wake.
Sadly, I fell well short of my 2003 tally of four strawberry sundaes. Although, it’s cool to note that the iconic strawberries sundaes, which raise funds for the Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, use more than six tonnes of Queensland strawberries and 22,500 litres of Lick Ice Cream.
