In the interest of beauty sleep, I'm finally getting my makeup routine down. I can do it half asleep (and frequently do), and am finally nailing the products I can see myself using for years to come (NOTE: I also love trying new things and every time one of my favorite beauty bloggers recommends something, I feel compelled to also purchase it - it's a problem). {Primer | Mattifier | Concealer | Foundation | Bronzer | Blush | Brow Gel | Curler | Mascara}
I routinely only use these products, though, if I'm feeling adventurous I'll throw on some eyeshadow (I just got my hands on Naked3 - and I'm in love) and/or liner. And I always finish with a bright lip! (I did, however, just find the perfect nudes).
1. Begin with bare face and apply primer, followed by mattifer over the t-zone.
2. Apply concealer under eyes, patting in with ring finger.
3. Using my favorite method of application, the Beauty Blender, blend foundation over face, focusing on areas that need the most attention (for me, that's my cheeks and nose, where I get rosy). If I'm looking for heavier coverage, I use this brush). Conceal any problem areas, as necessary
4. Using the brow gel (or sometimes a brow pencil) fill in brows. Curl lashes and apply mascara. (sorry for the lack of pictures. Do you know how hard it is to hold a camera and apply mascara?!)
5. Dust bronzer over cheeks, temples, and nose. Since it's winter, I don't use too much bronzer - don't want to look ridiculous, but I need a little something to warm up my face and combat any winter rosiness that shows up!
6. Suck in cheeks and add a tiny bit of blush to the apples. If I'm wearing blue-toned clothes or lipstick that day, I'll use this Bobbi Brown blush. If I'm going a little warmer, I'll use this.
7. Add a little lipstick, using this primer first, and voila! There you have it. 10 minutes tops, and you're ready to head out the door!
