President Yoweri Museveni has promised to look into ways of stopping disasters from occurring after a landslide killed 31 people in eastern Uganda.
"The government has dispatched rescue teams to the affected areas. I urge residents to cooperate with authorities to mitigate possible further danger," he said via Twitter on Thursday evening.
Museveni sent his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the catastrophe.
