Hello!
I hate it when companies are confused about their products. I can understand if consumers are confused but shouldn't the companies be clear about what type of product they are producing? MUA isn't clear whether this product comes under a lipgloss or a lip balm, it has been listed as lipgloss trios in their navigation menu and as lipbalm under the description :-/ Are you wondering which product is causing all this confusion? It is their Lip Trio in the shade Temptress. So which one is a better description? Read more to find out :)
What is it?
A lip palette consisting of three lip colours, all belonging to the red family.

Packaging:
It comes in a cute circular box with a sponge-tip applicator (sponge tip applicator for a lip product? Weird, I know!). Shade name and ingredients are printed behind the box along with a line about the applicator: "Use brush for precise, smooth application"!! Yeah right :P The sponge tip applicator has 2 ends, one side is broad while the other side is slim (meant for precise application, I guess :P).
Since there are three shades, let me deal with each one separately :) They haven't named the shades so I named them the Inglot way (with numbers) as 1, 2, 3 :P *Pssst I'll replace this later with better names, pinky swear :P*
Shade 1:Shade: A bright cherry red! Looks very similar to ELF Fearless Lipstick, this is slightly *very slightly* darker than that but otherwise the two shades are quite similar.
Texture: Creamy! It is easy to apply and neither does it dry out my lips nor does it settle into lip lines, pure love! <3
Finish: Glossy but no shimmers!
Pigmentation: Great! This is the most pigmented out of the three shades in this palette.
Staying power: 2 hours max! This is where it disappoints me but since it is a gloss, I'm not going to stress that point much :P
Shade 2:Shade: A dark red. Not my kind of colour, I feel it makes me look mature but it is pretty nonetheless.
Texture: Creamy, no glitters! Unlike shade 1, this isn't very moisturizing, but neither does it dry out my lips much.
Finish: Glossy, but no shimmers! Both shades 1&2 have a glossy finish, shade 3 is the back sheep of the lot :P
Pigmentation: Nicely pigmented, this is the second most pigmented out of the three shades in this palette.
Staying power: The staying power is almost same in all the three shades, they last a maximum of 2 hours!
Shade 3:Shade: Very similar to shade 2, slightly darker than that.
Texture: Creamy, but not much. It is easy to apply and neither does it dry out my lips nor does it settle into lip lines, pure love! <3
Finish: Glossy to an extent and has shimmers. The shimmers are not fine and move around, I was left with a glittery upper lip and a disco ball chin *eeeeeks!*
Pigmentation: Sheer. I found it difficult to build up the intensity because when I tried to do that, the shimmers start appearing OTT :-/
Staying power: Less than 2 hours in this case. Very disappointing.
Pros:
- Pocket friendly
- Cute packaging
- Shades are awesome - beauties who are hesitant to try reds can start with this one.
- Staying power is okay (just okay, not great :P)
Cons:
- A sponge applicator :-/
- They could have included a mirror for easy touch ups (That's me being greedy :P)
Rating: 4/5
Final Word: If you get it from their online site (especially when they offer free shipping :P) or when they are on sale, these are great budget buys! Recommended!
