Mothers Day has crept up on me this year, time seems to be going so fast. I can't believe it is already March. I love getting my mom a nice gift for Mothers Day as it's an excuse to say thank you for all the wonderful things she does. Originally I going to get a Moroccan hair oil as I've been loving mine lately, and I figured as some of them are quite expensive you can feel less guilty about using it if it's gifted to you. However, I couldn't find one that I liked the look of so I decided to have a look in The Body Shop.... and thank goodness I did. There has always been a body shop in my local high street but I have to admit I have never been one to spend much time in there. I was reintroduced when I visited the store in West Quay, Southampton last week. I'm afraid to say it was the temptations of some free samples that lured me in. I didn't buy anything on this occasion, but as I was looking around the rest of the shops I could still smell the sweet scent of the Strawberry Body Butter I had used on my hands. I can't even explain how gorgeous the scent of the shea butter is. It's a really sweet, candy flavored scent that reminds me of all things delicious. With this in mind, I visited the Bournemouth store and got super excited about all the products they have in the same Strawberry scent. Soaps, lip balms, hand cream, body mist, beautifying oil, body polish, and eau du toilette. If I had all the money in the world I'm sure I would purchase all of these and eventually I would turn into a giant, sweet smelling strawberry. I decided that I am still on a spending ban, and need to stick strictly to items for Mothers Day. With this in mind, I picked up the Warming Mineral Mask and Wild Rose Hand Creme Protector. I have had a warming mask before and they are so lovely on your skin. You just apply it as a cleanser with a spot of warm water and it gradually heats up on your face to open your pores and give you a deep detox. I've recently started using a hand creme regularly and have really noticed the difference it makes. I thought these gifts are practical beauty items that will get used rather than pushed to the back of the draw. Whilst I was in store I also picked up a Body Shop Love Your Body reward card. You make an initial payment of £5 for the card but receive a body butter of your choice. You also receive 10% off all your purchases for a year and an exclusive 30% off during special events. On your birthday you even get a free gift of your choice worth £5. I'm not sure if it's the idea of the free body butter (of course I got the strawberry one!) or the fact it's allows you to make great savings. All in all, I have found a new love for The Body Shop and will keep my eyes open for more of their products before I rush to Boots.
