Mother Ebert’s Angel Pie

I have only been a big fan of a few types of pies in-fact I can count the ones I like. I don`t know why I  am not a big fan of pie though I will eat it if I have nothing else to eat. But this angel pie a recipe found on the web, is a different story for some reason it has left a unique taste on my palettes and since then I cannot forget the awesomeness of this angel pie. I also don`t know if pies can be categorised as healthy lunch ideas. Any ways try out this lovely angel pie recipe and let me know what you think about it. I do have great expectations of it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c Crushed pineapple
  • 1 c Cold water
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 2 1/2 T Cornstarch
Directions:
  1. Mix above ingredients and cook until thick; cool, beat 3 egg whites until stiff and fold two together.
  2. Pour into baked pie shell, top with whipped cream.
