More Dylan Covers

From the Them from 1967 with Van Morrison on lead vocals! This is perhaps Van’s finest vocal performance of all time. A hundred years of bottled emotion in each rise, fall and wobble of his voice. He frantically chases the band through this song, racing them to the end. A dramatic performance, ultimately pure terror.

Joan Baez covers the same song. This is another of the best covers of this song, as good as Dylan’s. Does good justice to his song. Joan Baez is one of the all-time greats. As an aside, I was looking at her, and it looked like she had dark skin and ethnic features. Then I learned that Joan Baez is 1/2 Mexican!

Before she became a walking crime scene, Courtney Love was the lead singer for the great girl band, Hole. They made some fantastic music in the late 1990′s before she burned herself out. But for a few years there, her star shone brightly in the skies before it all turned to black again. Nice version, very angry. I like it.

An extremely trippy and different version from the Byrds. Reminds me of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Very nice, from one of the greatest movies all time – Easy Rider!

Psychedelic version from the great Chocolate Watch Band, the classic psychedelic band from the 1960′s. Wow!
