Looks like the US is enlisting its allies in the global spying program. I don’t really mind the looking for terrorists part, but a lot of this is just the US spying on every country on Earth, even its allies, to learn what’s going on with their governments. We spied on Germany and Brazil. So now our allies are helping us do crap like that? That sucks.
And the owners of the Washington Post now have a huge contract with the CIA, an organization which they will be reporting on. Will they be able to be unbiased? You guess.
What’s funny about this is that the CIA has always more or less owned all of the nation’s great newspapers and newsmagazines. It has always had many slimeball journalists on its payroll all down through the years, and the Washington Post is one paper where the CIA had many bought news reporters.
So yeah. Conflict of interest between the CIA and the media? Sure. The CIA more or less owning much of our media? Been going on forever.
Not much new to see I am afraid.
It’s amazing that Americans put up with this bullshit, but I guess Moronicans will put up with just about anything the spies do for some reason.
