Mini Winter Haul

By Afternoonlattes

It had been some time since I last visited the mall and I have been dying to do some winter shopping. The weather is reaching the low 40′s around here and a good portion of my wardrobe is summer clothes. Of course, I do have some winter clothing mixed in here and there but lets face it, my style has changed dramatically over the last year. With this in mind, I headed to the mall with my family friday night. We had a delicious dinner at California Pizza Kitchen- if you haven’t been there before you should go!! So delicious!! After dinner I went around the mall with my sisters desperately trying to find some winter clothing. Ill admit it, I was actually pretty upset with the collections out everywhere. Barely anything I saw fit my style or had any visual appeal what so ever, plus everything felt 10x more expensive than usual….or maybe thats because Im getting cheaper haha. I ended up splurging on winter perfumes from Bath and Body WOrks. I mean come on, who can pass up all the adorable containers and wintery christmas scents, its impossible! I also got a few fuzzy socks from Target because who doesn’t need fuzzy socks to wear under those boots.

With all hope lost I went to my favorite store, H&M. I was beyond happy when I found a couple cute shirts there that weren’t overpriced! I also saw a bunch of cute sweater dresses that I wanted but by this point in the night I had to get going and I didn’t have time to try anything on. I grabbed a few tops and called it a night. Here are a few pictures of what I purchased!

Stripped Button Up (19.95, H&M) Blue Sweater (14.95 H&M) Knit Top (24.95 H&M)

I was drawn to this button up top, I loved the simplicity of it and that it can be worn dressed up under a black blazer with a statement necklace or dressed down with a cute sweater over it (like the blue one i purchased) and maybe a thin silver necklace. The shirt is both preppy and casual- a perfect combination. It was also decently priced which i thoroughly enjoyed

The blue sweater top was my second buy from H&M, I got it to go with the stripped button up shirt, but it also can be used without layering with a pair of jeans and some cute rain boots and a watch!  The last shirt I got from H&M is this silver, white and black knit top. I liked it because it was kind of a stand out to me. Its not the usual type of shirt I buy but it was long and I thought it would pair cute with a pair of black skinnies and heels for a night out.

Twisted Peppermint Perfume, Vanilla Bean Noel and Merry Marshmallow Kiss (14.95 each Bath and Body Works)

I really really really really cannot resist buying anything with a christmas feel! I don’t even celebrate the holiday but I get caught up in its joy! The perfumes were also buy 2 get 1 free which made it even more appealing. My favorite is the Merry Marshmallow perfume because it has a mellow toned down scent but also reminds me of winter! The twisted peppermint perfume is just so fun that i had to buy it! I love the uniqueness of the scent!

And then of course…furry socks. Those speak for themselves (:
