Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea Review

By Debi Lantzer @debiL1611

Since I had used several other types of Matcha Green Tea, I was curious about Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea, so I signed up to try it. It arrived in a very small tin-like container which was unlike the other packaging I've previously received, but I've heard that it usually does come in small containers.

When it arrived, I opened the container and saw that the Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea was a bright green color, smelled great and appeared to be a really fine powder. As I always do, I added the Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea to my morning protein shake/smoothie. This product added a slightly earthy taste to my shake, so I think I will only use it for actual tea drinking in the future instead of my shake.

Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea Review

I started out to make a cup of tea so I wanted to read the instructions on the container. They said to mix two teaspoons of the Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea into hot water and mix well. Then, add more water to your taste. The instructions were more detailed than just that - they included information about how I should use bamboo spoons and whisks, but I figured my standard kitchen supplies would be just fine. The two teaspoons seemed like a lot of tea to take out of such a small little container, so I quickly realized that this product would not be around my house for very long. I poured the boiling water on top of the powder in my cup, whisked it briskly and then added more a little water filling the mug to the rim.

I let it sit out for a short time to cool off a bit, and then I enjoyed it! It was an intense and delightful green tea. I drank the cup as fast as it could cool down, but spoiler alert: it got a little clumpy and thick near the bottom of the cup. I am a HUGE coffee fan, and only dabble in the art of enjoying tea, so there was no way I was going to be finishing what was at the bottom of my cup. Maybe that's fine for "hardcore" tea drinkers, but not me. I added more water and made it into almost another cup of tea!

While the Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea tasted fresh and light and was a pleasant change from the ones that are extremely heavy in taste, another factor to consider is that this tea is not cheap. In fact the small 1.06 ounce container costs $24.97. I suppose if this is actually in your budget, or if you want to try a nice healthy luxury, be sure to check this tea out.

There are many other immediate and long term health benefits when consuming Matcha generally. When I did an internet search, I saw that this includes increased energy without the jitters, stress reduction, mental alertness improvement, help with metabolism, inflammation reduction, help with weight loss and help in cleansing the body of harmful toxins.

The ingredients of the Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Te a: It's 100% Organic and Kosher Certified Matcha Green Tea Powder, harvested from the finest tea gardens mostly from Aichi and Kagoshima in Japan. It is certified, tested, and tasted by 9th Degree Tea Masters to make sure each batch is perfection.

I received the product mentioned above for free using Tomoson. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
