Men Think Crying at Movies is Unmanly, Unless It’s E.T. or Bambi: Study
Admit it, at least once in your life you must have cried watching a movie. Don’t feel bad though. Films like E.T, Titanic, Bambi are made to get you crying by the end. Those DVD’s might as well come with a pack of tissues. Although, not many people likes to show their emotions while watching a movie, especially men seems to think its not cool to cry at movies. Probably because most men thinks crying at such things is so girly, is that true?
A recent study found that it’s “unmanly” for men to cry at movies. The Ladbrokes Casino Lad Points survey came up with this conclusion after reviewing responses from people around the nation. 34.3% of all respondents of this survey thought that crying at movies is unmanly. However, they also said that it’s ok to cry at emotional movies like Titanic, E.T., The Notebook, Bambi and Green Mile. Surprisingly, 9.33% of all female respondents found it to be more manlier for men to show their emotions at movies. Keep that in mind when you go to movies with your girlfriend next time.
In addition, the survey also asked several other questions from respondents to find which of our everyday things are considered manly and which are not. Apparently, listening to classical music, owning a pug or ordering a glass of milk with your curry is considered uncool by most men. But, I guess you could even things up by scoring more points if you could grow a beard and get a Jaguar, because according to this study, those are the most manliest things.
