We'll give him that, he eases you into it at first, but it doesn't last all that long. He soon emerges you in the weird and wonderful world of his music, and when his vocals charge in, you'll be completely sold on this blast from the past, shunned into the modern day!!The best way to describe it, despite the heaps of bass, is kaleidoscopic. It is absolutely full of color and vigour and, despite not seeing a video for this one, we can imagine it being something along the psychedelic lines ... it would be absolutely bloody magnificent though!
The vocal, as we've already suggested, are what really sign it off with that Prince feel. They're relatively high pitched and flaily ... but that is most definitely not a bad thing in this case. Meanwhile knows exactly how he is using them, and exactly how to grab and keep your engagement. You won't be able to stop yourself from trying to imitate this one and whilst we're very aware that it is not something classed as particularly ordinary - we can definitely see why there is heaps of praise heading his way, and why the name Meanwhile will be one kept at the forefront of our minds and ears for plenty of time to come!
