Firstly, I really like the bag. It feels like an unbleached, possibly organic, cotton with little green leaves all over. Me likes! J I’m not sure what it has to do with May or the products inside, but I’m a fan nonetheless. J Now on to the inside….
Firstly I see a rather large tube – 2.03oz/60mL to be exact. It is from a brand I’ve never heard of called Eva-NYC and it is the Therapy Session Hair Mask with Keravis Protein and Argan Oil. It says it “deeply conditions, repairs and strengthens,” and it is for all hair types. The packaging is really pretty and it has a strong scent that’s kind of nice. It’s kind of perfumey and smells sort of floral, but very sweet at the same time. It’s an interesting and unusual scent. It’s a great sample size (I think it’s a sample size!) and it sounds great for my hair, though I’m not the biggest fan of hair masks. I always forget about them, but I’ll try to remember this time! I don’t know if this company tests on animals.
Moving on…we have a product from Coola, which I’ve gotten a number of really teeny tiny facial sunscreens in bags and boxes before, but this one is for the body (and not quite as teeny tiny). It’s also in very summery packaging that makes me want to go to the beach. The line is called Hang Ten and this is the Classic Sport Natural Sunscreen UVA/UVB Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 50. It is Water Resistant up to 80 minutes. Sounds nice, but there’s not a ton of sunscreen in the 1oz/30mL tube to try more than once or twice for the entire body. Since I don’t spend much time fully exposed to the sun, I’ll probably just be putting it on my arms and neck so it’s a big enough sample for me. Coola is cruelty-free so that’s definitely great in my eyes! J
Continuing with the larger items, we have the Thermal Spring Water from Avène. It’s a decent size, but then again it’s an aerosol so it may not actually last very long. I’m not entirely sure what this is for either. It says it’s soothing and softening. I suppose it’s just a refreshing mist, which I really have no use for. Plus, Avène is not cruelty-free, so I’m not to psyched about this sample.
On to the makeup! First is an Eye Shadow Duo from Pacifica! I really like Pacifica scents, though I haven’t tried much from their makeup department yet. I received Duo 1, which has beautiful shimmery neutrals in it. The lighter shade is a tiny bit chalky, but it’s a gorgeous iridescent pink with and almost peachy shift to it. Really pretty and unexpected if you’re just looking at it in the pan. The other shade is a light bronze with a beautiful shimmer. I think this would be gorgeous all over the lids! Neither shade is incredibly pigmented, but they should give a nice soft wash of color to the eyes. And Pacifica is not only cruelty-free, but Vegan!!!
Finally there’s a product from Too Faced!!! J Not only that, it’s their legendary Chocolate Soleil Medium/Deep Matte Bronzer!!! I’ve finally started getting into contouring with bronzer recently and this is perfect for that! It’s a great size (2.5g/0.08oz) and, though I have this same bronzer in a few palettes it’s fantastic to have a little individual travel size so I don’t have to grab an entire palette to use it. Yea!!! J Too Faced is also cruelty-free.
